Collection of miscellaneous pieces, the title essay being Lovecraft's argument for cats over dogs, including memorials to the writer by August Derleth and others. Illustrated with several plates. This copy previously owned by Thomas Scortia, a science fiction writer who co-wrote The Glass Tower, which was made into the film the Towering Inferno. Ogden Nash quote about cats written on the half title page by Scortia.
